Small vans

Small vans are efficient, easy to park and well suited to lighter work. They often suit service engineers, local trades, mobile technicians, florists, couriers and businesses that need tools or parcels rather than large building materials.

• Usually best for town driving and lower running costs.
• Good where parking and access are tight.
• Limited load volume compared with medium and large vans.
• Payload still needs checking if tools or parts are heavy.

Medium vans

Medium vans are the most common all-rounders. They offer a strong balance of usable load space, sensible running costs and everyday drivability. Many trades choose this class because it is flexible without feeling too large.

• Often suitable for trades, deliveries, service teams and mixed use.
• Available in different lengths and sometimes roof heights.
• Can work well with racking, lining, tow bars and signage.
• A good default if a small van is just too tight.

Large vans

Large vans are for volume, length and conversion flexibility. They can be the right answer for bulky loads, construction, removals, multi-drop work and specialist builds, but they need more care around payload, access and driver comfort.
